Our compassionate and friendly staff after taking a thorough health history will discuss your oral needs and goals and depending on that Dr. Seth will propose either oral sedation or nitrous oxide analgesia. Dr. Seth will administer a medication under your tongue in the office an hour before your procedure. She and her highly trained staff will monitor the process under her supervision to ensure it is done safely and you get the best benefit of the medication. However, the medication is so effective; you may have no recollection of the appointment the next day. For this reason, you will need someone to accompany you during your appointment to give you a safe ride home.
At Carolina Smile Dentistry we also administer Nitrous Oxide Sedation. Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, is the most frequently used method for easing mild to moderate anxiety. Normal activities can be resumed immediately as recovery is pretty quick.
